The Manchester Business School Alumni Caribbean Chapter was launched in 2000 with the objective of building a strong network of graduates seeking to advance their professional development while contributing to their communities. STRUCTURE The Executive Committee comprised eight members operating in the capacities of President, Vice President (Membership), Secretary, Treasurer, Immediate Past President and three members at large.

The Executive Committee meets every second Thursday of each month to plan, monitor and evaluate the progress of Alumni projects.

Over the years, the Alumni has been engaged in several projects in keeping with its objectives. These include:

    • The development of a marketing plan for PALS (Peace and Love in Schools)
    • Provision of assistance to the Fletchers Land School feeding Programme
    • Mentoring of current MBA students
    • Tutoring current MBA Students
    • Contributed to the development of the Alumni page on the Manchester Business School Website
    • Promoting the MBA through Participation in the Annual Open MBA House facilitated by JIOB
    • Annual address to MBA graduates at yearly graduation exercise

In 2004, we embarked on our professional development Seminar Series "Grow Your Mind" where Alumni members are required to research and make presentation on topical managerial, economic and socio-political issues impacting the Caribbean.

Avenues for networking exist on a quarterly basis commencing with the annual church service and culminating with our social event in December. To date, church services have been held at Temple of Light Church of Religious Science, Mona Baptist Church and Christian Life Fellowship.
